The new year is on us, and now is the time for the final test of “New Year’s vote”. Improving the individual, inside and out, is one of the central pieces of all self -confidents. It is estimated that 25 % of all resolutions are based on weight loss or stimulation during the five months leading to the memory day. The best example of these efforts is the spikes in the gym on the second day of January. However, despite the monthly cost of a gym, the participation has been falling in February. Regardless of the best efforts, 70-90% of all resolutions will be abandoned within the first three months of the new year. With the odds against someone to maintain a “new year of new appearance” vote, when can cosmetics or plastic surgery help?
Last year 1,500,000 surgical and 5,500,000 non -surgical cosmetic procedures were performed. The most common processes include liposuction, abdominal (abdomen), breast/ breast elevation, botulinum and skin reconnection.
We have consulted Dr. Chris Funderburk of Neinstein Plastic Surgery on questions about who is an ideal candidate, what process is the best for you and the role of lifestyle in maintaining your appearance. Dr Funderburk is one of the surgeons who is best known for Mom’s full makeover. This makeover covers the neck on the knees and includes a stay at the Plaza Hotel rolled at the initial cost.

When do you recommend cosmetic or plastic surgery? Who is a good and bad candidate?
Cosmetic surgery is to enhance or restore confidence by addressing aesthetic concerns. A good candidate for surgery is someone who is physically healthy, emotionally stable and has realistic expectations. They need to understand the dangers involved and have a clear idea of the results they want. The decision must come from within, not external pressure.
On the other hand, a bad candidate is someone undergoing surgery due to external pressures, such as trying to meet someone else’s beauty standards or those who expect that surgery will solve emotional or psychological issues. It is important to be in the right mental space and have a healthy relationship with body image before making a decision.
What are the differences between liposuction and the abdominal (abdomen) for stubborn waist?
Liposuction is an excellent choice if you are dealing with local fat that does not respond to nutrition and exercise. It is a less invasive procedure that removes fat from targeted areas, shaping and describing the body. However, liposuction does not experience loose skin or muscle separation.
Coinoplasty or abdomen is ideal for patients with persistent fat, excess, skin relaxation or weakened abdominal muscles (often pregnant or weight loss). Tighten the muscles and remove the extra skin. The choice depends on your specific needs. If the skin relaxation or muscle separation is involved, a belly may be more appropriate. If you are mainly involved with excess fat, liposuction can be the best choice.
What does a complete makeover mom involve?
A mom’s full makeover is a personalized combination of processes aimed at dealing with the changes that a woman’s body is undergoing after pregnancy and childbirth. Usually, it includes breast surgery (increase, lift or decrease) to restore the tumor or shape, a belly to treat leisure and muscle and liposuction to remove persistent fat in areas such as thighs, hips or abdomen.
It is important to recognize that a makeover mom is not a solution of a size. Procedures can be adapted to address a patient’s specific concerns
What is the role of the lifestyle in maintaining the new year, the new appearance?
Lifestyle plays an important role in maintaining the results of any cosmetic process. While surgery can provide a dramatic change, it does not replace the importance of healthy habits. Regular exercise, balanced nutrition and maintaining a steady weight are necessary to keep your results look their best.
After surgery, we also emphasize things such as proper hydration, sleep and smoking, as these factors can affect treatment and long -term effects. Plastic surgery can give you a good start, but it is up to you to keep up with a healthy lifestyle to maintain the results.
How much will the results last? How does the lifestyle relate to maintaining results?
The results of processes such as liposuction or abdomen may take a long time, but that really depends on your lifestyle. If you maintain a healthy weight and avoid drastic fluctuations, the results may be permanent. This said, if you earn a significant amount of post-processing weight, fat may return to the treatment areas and your overall outline could be changed.
To increase the breast, implants may take decades, but the appearance of your chest may change as you grow up due to factors such as gravity and elasticity of the skin. Surgery is not a magic sphere – it is an investment in yourself that you need to support with a healthy lifestyle.
What is your overall goal as a plastic surgeon?
My overall goal is to enhance the natural beauty of my patients at the same time maintaining balance and harmony. Plastic surgery is to improve self -confidence and persecution in people to feel better for themselves, without creating a whole new person. I take a holistic approach in every case – assuming both the physical and emotional aspects – to help each patient achieve his aesthetic goals in a safe and sustainable way.
You’re not going to change who you are, but we help you become the best version of yourself, inside and out.
