Shields, now 59 years old, reveals the latter exclusively We weekly The story of coverage that in the ’40s its gynecologist asked her if her lips had ever caused discomfort. She had – along with bleeding and chafing, from high school – and the doctor (whom Shields describes as “wonderful”) told her that a surgical reduction was possible.
“Of course, it is not covered by insurance because it is considered a cosmetic, which is very interesting. The last time I was checking, I didn’t want to be a pornographic star,” was the shields. UsExplaining that he “heard about porn stars do this” for aesthetic purposes.
