A woman says she has been permanently contaminated after a series of “Shambolic” dentist.
Leanna Painter suffered extreme facial swelling, severe pain, repetitive infections and lost two teeth thanks to the supposed failures of her practice for two years.

At the height of her problems, her face became so inflated that she was afraid to leave the house and was so conscious that she avoided smiling at all costs.
Years later, the 40 -year -old is still made up of the “bad taste of the infected pus” in her mouth.
Leanna claims that her test could have been avoided if her dentists had been diagnosed and treated her teeth wear earlier.
The chef, from Lancing, West Sussex, said: “From the age of 19, when I had a tooth initially hit out, I am used to feeling a bit conscious, but all this test has only done that worse.

“It’s so frustrating. As I always had good dental hygiene, and even now I brush them three times a day.
“It was a blow – from the rude deterrent attitudes of surgery, to pay extra for a second opinion.
“Even now, we still have to do work on my teeth with a lot of implants needed.”
Leanna, who was left with heavy dental expenses totaling at least £ 17,500 to correct her hands, was patient at her East Sussex clinic between 2017 and 2019.
Had a tooth extracted in a different practice after suffering “significant pain”.
However, this did not relieve the issues and the “problematic root and gum pain” continued.
In 2017, Leanna visited a new dentist and everything continued to go wrong.
“My pain was so serious. I asked for suppression when I received additional fills,” he said.
“Then I was diagnosed with acute gum disease in November 2017 – sending me home with antibiotics and oral solution to help, but things continued to worsen.
“In 2018, I had problems with two extra teeth in my lower right jaw.
“They put a filling in one of them, who fell out, then they did it again, but was lost again.
“This tooth became much worse with the years with infections and eventually I had to export it to the hospital in 2021.
“They also put a filling on the second tooth, but they warned that I could probably lose that too.”

After repeated “terrible” infections, Leanna had removed the tooth in 2021 in a different clinic.
“I was in so much pain,” he said. “My face became swollen and I had an unpleasant taste in my mouth by the infected pus.
“This lasted for months. It was awesome.
“After all these negative experiences, my confidence in my dentist’s advice was so damaged. I had no choice but to visit a new London -based practice.
“I already had two dental implants, but I will need five more, and they cost about £ 2,500 on average.
“The whole test certainly had a permanent effect. The state that left my teeth was just horrible.
“I was really conscious when smiling and always using my hand to cover my mouth.
“Now I have two implants on the front. He helped and sometimes I congratulate. But all the experience was awful.”

The analysis by the Dental Law Partnership (DLP) claimed that Leanna dentists failed to diagnose and treat the decomposition in two teeth.
The company claims that facial swelling, infections, severe pain and tooth loss could be avoided if its condition had managed properly.
Tim Armitage, from DLP, said: “The anxiety and pain our client has experienced was completely unnecessary.
“If dentists in practice had provided more satisfactory treatment, its problems could be avoided.”
The case settled in January 2025, when Leanna was awarded £ 8,500 to compensation from its former dental practice.

Other huge dental disasters
- Havanna Palmer, 22, won £ 30,000 after her dentist ignored clear signs of tooth decay, leaving her with tremendous breathing and needed invasive treatment for the rest of her life.
- Lucy Bodycote, 44, was awarded £ 15,000 after the anesthetic failure, as her dentist pulled out one of her teeth.
- Katie Granger, 38, was left without a half -lip or chin after a routine trip to the dentist. Received a compensation of £ 45,000.
- Lauren Field, 21, received £ 10,000 after a series of dental errors left her with a shark teeth.
- Anastasia Zimina, 25, received a compensation of £ 70,000 after 22 healthy teeth removed for seemingly no reason.
- Toby Parker, 18, fell £ 10,000 after a dentist left him unable to eat ice cream.
- Clare Shorrock, 38, remained permanently deformed by a dentist who accidentally paid her mouth with bleach. She was awarded £ 14,500 in compensation.
