Victoria Beckham sheds light on why she decided to have her breast implants removed.
In a new interview with The Sunpublished on Friday, October 10, Beckham, 51, opened up about the decision and revealed who was behind it.
“I don’t know where those tits went, but they did, I was definitely working with Roland [Mouret] who did it. He’s so great and I wouldn’t have a career if it wasn’t for him,” said the pop star turned fashion designer.
“It came from needing to be taken more seriously and not knowing who I was,” Beckham continued. “And so I think it was Roland who encouraged me to just be me – to not feel like I had to be that person. Just toning it down.”
The former Spice Girl added that it then allowed her to “show myself [her fashion] collections.”
Beckham launched her eponymous fashion label in 2008 and in her new Netflix documentary, also titled Victoria Beckhamcredits French fashion designer Mouret with helping her transition from music to the fashion industry.

“Roland saw something, I don’t know what, but we connected and he believed me,” Beckham said during a confession to her doctor. “He was very honest and he was really tough. He didn’t care if I liked what he said or not, he just said it.”
At another point in her interview with The Sunalso reflected on her fashion choices in the 90s and early 2000s.
“I spent so much time after the Spice Girls searching for my purpose and I didn’t know what it was,” she continued. “Well, I guess that’s why I dressed that way. There were lots of hair extensions, tight t-shirts and fake tan, although I still fake tan.”
In her Netflix documentaries, Beckham also looks back on her style, particularly how she dressed during the 2006 World Cup in Germany, when all eyes were on the England team’s WAGs (wives and girlfriends).

“Look, it was fun,” he said in the documentary. “I had big boobs. I had big hair. We ladies shopped and had them. I remember seeing one of these wives who had bought so many designer clothes and had so many bags that she couldn’t fit through the revolving doors of the hotel.”
“It was at a time when I wasn’t feeling creatively fulfilled, so that’s how I stayed in the conversation,” she added.
The documentary pulls back the curtain on Beckham’s life and her fashion line, with the three episodes being shot in the run-up to the star’s biggest fashion show ever at Paris Fashion Week in 2024.
