Maya Jama had a huge makeover on Monday as she got braces and debuted a new hairstyle.
The Love Island host, 31, revealed she felt like ‘the mum from the Incredibles’ after cutting her hair into a shorter bob.
Documenting her day on her Instagram Story, she also went to her dentist in Chelsea, London, where she was fitted with braces.
Lying in the chair, Maya explained how removable braces hadn’t worked for her, so she was getting fixed braces behind her teeth.
She wrote: “Going into braces today. I tried Invisalign and I’m just not a consistent enough person for it.
“These are perfect because I have no choice but to keep them in and they’re discreet.”

The TV personality added: “My top teeth aren’t too bad, but my bottom teeth have been grinding together for a while now and my back teeth pushing in would just make it worse, so here we are.”
Elsewhere, Maya recently denied reports she is leaving Love Island and confirmed she will be returning to present the hit ITV2 dating show next year.
The Daily Mail understands the presenter has agreed a lucrative new deal after months of negotiations with ITV bosses, keeping her at the helm of the villa for another year.
Since replacing Laura Whitmore in 2023, after the Irish host admitted she found parts of the job “very difficult”, Maya has fronted the summer series in Mallorca, the All Stars edition in South Africa, the Love Island Games in Fiji and Sunday’s Aftersun.
Her signature slow-motion entrances and eye-catching outfits have become a trademark of the show, earning her thousands of loyal fans on Instagram.
Away from the villa, the Bristol-born star, who is also a judge on The Masked Singer, has been busy expanding her TV empire, signing a deal with Prime Video and landing a starring role in Guy Ritchie’s Netflix series The Gentlemen.
Producers were said to be “desperate” to keep her on board, with a show insider telling the Daily Mail: “Maya is the heart of Love Island now, the show wouldn’t be the same without her.”
Speaking on TikTok, Maya said: “Hello lovelies, this is for Love Island fans and for Love Island fans only.”

He continued: “Despite the many fake news stories circulating left, right and centre, Maya is not hosting, Maya is leaving…
“I’ll be hosting next year, I’ll be back for All Stars in January and the summer series June and July, here we go again mother lovers.
“Obviously I won’t be hosting the Love Island Games this year, as much as I love the show, of course I couldn’t do three Love Islands a year, I just have other bits and pieces to work on, but Ariana is doing an amazing job so I hope you’ll be watching too.
“I’ll see you in January, I love you, I love you.”
Fans had begun questioning Maya’s future on the show after American star Ariana Madix stepped in to present the Love Island Games earlier this year, sparking rumors that Maya was set to leave.
