A virtual food hall is coming to Miami-Dade County.
Sam Nazarian, founder of sbe Entertainment Group and omnichannel ghost kitchen network Creating Culinary Communities (C3), is developing a delivery-focused facility in Wynwood with help from Chefbites, a food hall operator and food technology company based in Miami.
The hotel group announced on November 1 that construction of the virtual food hall is expected to be completed this month and a grand opening will take place in early 2024.
“We are excited to bring the exciting synergy of C3’s premium (quick-service restaurant) brands and Chefbites’ capabilities to my beloved city of Miami,” Nazarian said in a statement. “This partnership represents not only a culinary evolution but a reinvention of the dining experience in the heart of this dynamic city. Together, we will serve a diverse range of cuisines, fusing innovation, convenience and personalization.
The C3-backed Chefbites food hall will debut with a roster of popular, well-established Miami restaurants, including sushi delivery restaurant Krispy Rice, Japanese restaurant Kumi and poke bowl restaurant Stonie Bowls.
Customers will be able to order from multiple restaurants at once from an online ordering platform or mobile app.
Additional C3 network restaurants may be added in the future. C3 has more than 40 restaurant brands in its network across various categories, including Spanish, Pan-Asian, Mediterranean, Italian and American comfort food. Chefbites currently partners with pizza, taco, burger, gnocchi and Lebanese restaurants, according to the company’s website.
Although based in Wynwood, the first Chefbites location will serve several Miami neighborhoods such as Brickell, Downtown, Edgewater, Midtown, Overtown, Little Havana and Little Haiti. Allapattah, Morningside. The virtual food hall will also deliver to residences near Miami International Airport.
