Andrea Ivanova has made it her mission to get the ‘world’s biggest lips’ – but her obsession with puffing up her pout has its downsides. First, many doctors will no longer see her
A woman spent around £20,000 to grow her pout – but that’s not the only cost she incurred in her quest to get the ‘world’s biggest lips’.
Andrea Ivanova had hyaluronic acid injections in her chin, jaw and cheekbones, as well as a breast augmentation with 600cc silicone implants. Plus, she gets lip fillers every month without fail. The 28-year-old has lost count of how many times she’s injected and spends hundreds each month on appointments.
However, these many cosmetic procedures have their drawbacks. Not only are there risks with getting the job done, Andrea is now struggling to find doctors who will approach her.
This is particularly dangerous when they are unwell – including in “severe pain” with a cracked tooth earlier this year.
After visiting several dentists, Andrea was unable to correct the problem.
She said at the time: “They just said they didn’t want to work on my tooth as I have such big lips. It’s clear that they feel disgusted and mocked at me.”
That’s not all either – as Andrea struggles to get someone to give her fillers because they look so dangerous.
While he used to pay £150 to get the piercings, he now spends £450 to see a doctor in a different city.
That works out to an extra £3,600 a year – but Andrea isn’t letting financial pressure put her off.
The former psychology student, from Bulgaria, said: “All the aesthetic doctors in my town refuse to give me new fillers.
“Everyone thought it was too much and they were worried about my lips dying because it can cut off the blood flow.
“A lot of them are worried about their reputation.
“The last doctor told me my lips were ugly and blamed himself for their appearance.
“I didn’t answer as I don’t want to argue. So I just found a different doctor.”
Even though family and influential fans have warned her about the dangers of having such huge lips, she refuses to let those fears stop her.
She added: “I will never give up lip augmentation.
“My family doesn’t like these procedures – they see them as harmful – but they’re important to me.
“In addition to adding volume to the face, they also add hydration and keep the tissue fresh.
“I haven’t had any allergic reaction to fillers so far, as my body tolerates it well.
“My new doctor doesn’t mind giving me more, so I’ll keep going to him.
“If I have to go abroad in the future, then I will. I will never stop.”
