This year saw plenty of celebrities and influencers embrace the latest plastic surgery trends, from Gen Z ditching fillers to A-listers transforming their faces with $20,000 blepharoplasty.
According to surgeons, in 2025 there will be even more external, extremely popular operations.
Estheticians in New York predict multiple upcoming cosmetic trends, including the rise of forty-something facelifts to avoid “filler face” and underwire bras to support the bust.
These experts told DailyMail.com the procedures that are sure to be all the rage next year, including full-body makeovers for women who have lost large amounts of weight in Mounjaro and fifty-somethings who want to look decades younger thanks to their glamorous ‘glam-ma’ bodies.
Another major trend is that millennials aren’t just embracing “tweaks” or minor cosmetic procedures, they’re going all the way and getting facelifts.
Dual Board Certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon Dr. Sean Alemi said, “Millennials are turning 40 and looking for a new solution to facial aging and sagging skin that doesn’t involve a lot of fillers.”
In an effort to avoid “cushion” or “face filler,” which can make people’s faces look puffy and unnatural, many people, and especially celebrities, choose to do everything at once.
Dr. Alemi, who is based in Great Neck, New York, explained that there is no “right” age for a facelift, and if you do it when you’re younger, it can last longer and heal more effectively.

A Mounjaro makeover usually includes a tummy tuck, breast lift, arm and thigh lift, depending on what the patient needs
Dr Alemi told FEMAIL that at his New York-based practice, the average age range of patients is between 47 and 53.
Another major upcoming trend is the “Mounjaro makeover” as more people lose massive amounts of weight thanks to GLP-1 weight loss drugs.
Board Certified Plastic Surgeon Dr. Darren Smithbased in Manhattan, explained that the Mounjaro makeover is a personalized combination of procedures that helps restore volume where fat has been lost.
A Mounjaro makeover usually includes a tummy tuck, breast lift, arm lift and thigh lift, depending on what the patient needs.
“A candidate for Mounjaro makeover is someone who has lost over 40 pounds and is looking for body rejuvenation.” Dr. Smith said DailyMail.com.
“What we’ve seen with Mounjaro is that patients lose more weight and often do it faster, and the body’s ability to compensate is less efficient, so the skin has a certain amount of elasticity or ability to rest after losing volume,” said Dr.
“They lose so much weight and do it so quickly that there is more severe skin loosening that occurs with this drug and in turn more dramatic skin removal procedures are required,” added Dr. Smith.
Surgeons aren’t just doing Mounjaro facelifts – facial fat transfer procedures are also more popular than ever because women have lost so much weight on their faces, leaving them with what they call an ‘Ozempic face’.
Dr Darren Smith said the glam-ma makeover is a full body makeover for patients over 50

Women get tummy tucks and mom or grandma makeovers, including mini brachioplasty, which reshapes flabby arms without leaving large scars
The glam-ma makeover is another way women try to look younger than ever, with abs to match.
Dr. Smith has seen a 20 to 30 percent increase in patients 50 and older who have full-body reshaping, and says that after the surgery, they have abs of someone half their age.

“While many of the procedures performed during a ‘glam-ma’ makeover may be similar to those of a ‘mommy makeover’, procedures on patients over fifty often need to be approached differently,” advises Dr Smith.
“As we age, tissue loses its elasticity, requiring specialized techniques to ensure meaningful and lasting results,” said Dr. Smith.
Dr. Smith “would be more likely to use an inner bra, such as the GalaFLEX, on an older patient to support and maintain the results of her breast lift, as her own tissue may have less retention than a younger patient, who would have more collagen and elastin.”
