A WOMAN claims her face collapsed after surgery abroad.
Leanne Abeyance, 41, says she has been left with a painful, infected face after flying to Turkey for new teeth.
Now the Telford-based mum claims her nose fell off due to necrosis as the implants pierced her diaphragm.
Leanne spent £3,000 on a sinus lift, bone grafting, as well as having her veneers removed and implants placed.
She traveled to Antalya, Turkey for the procedure after being asked for £50,000 to have the work done in the UK, reports BBC.
But the mum-of-two immediately regretted her decision.

He said he could “feel everything” despite being under local anaesthetic.
Leanne said: “With the bone graft, I could feel a hammer smashing into the side of my face.
“With the sinus lift, my whole face felt lifted. My face was black and blue.”
After two days of not being able to “eat or sleep” because of the pain and swelling, she had temporary teeth placed over the implants.
She was supposed to return four months later to have her permanent teeth removed, but she said she was too scared.
When she returned to the UK she was diagnosed with sinusitis and put on antibiotics which did not help her symptoms.
Leanne then went to a private dentist who took an x-ray that showed the veneer implants were piercing her nose.
The teeth were removed but the infection continued and Leanne was sent to the Princess Royal Hospital in Telford but doctors were unable to operate and remove the implants as her face was so infected.
Almost two years later, Leanne’s nose has given way and she claims it is due to necrosis.
The infection caused by the implants caused the tissue in her nose to die and a septum collapsed.
Taking to social media, she reveals that the necrosis has been “scraped off” and that the three worst implants have now been removed.
What are the risks of surgery abroad?
It’s important to do your research if you’re considering cosmetic surgery abroad.
It may cost less than in the UK, but you have to weigh the potential savings against the potential risks.
Safety standards in different countries may not be as high.
No operation is without risk. Complications can happen after surgery in the UK or abroad.
If you have complications after an operation in the UK, the surgeon is responsible for providing follow-up treatment.
Clinics abroad may not provide follow-up treatment or may not provide it to the same standard as in the UK.
They may also not have a healthcare professional in the UK that you can visit if you are having problems.

He added: “Now it’s just a long process to keep it clean and healthy.”
Mom hopes she can have reconstructive surgery in a year, once the infection has completely cleared up.
“If we put in a new nose (now), it could just get eaten again,” he explained.
While the three worst implants were removed, Leanne said the pain started again.
“They were hoping that removing the 3 implants would stop all the pain, which it did, but now it’s started again and 3 times worse,” added Leanne.
The video went viral on her TikTok account @djabeyance with over 120,000 views and 1,000 likes and people were quick to wish Leanne a speedy recovery.
One person wrote: “No human being should have to go through this trauma. I am so sorry you are going through this. I have been praying and praying for you.”
Another commented: “This is such a tragic situation. Sending you love and prayers that the pain goes away very soon.”
“Horrible to see you in so much pain,” wrote a third.
Meanwhile, a fourth said: “Oh my God, I’m so sorry.”
“Don’t give up,” claimed a fifth.
Another added: “You have so much power!”
