LIoyd Daniels looks unrecognizable 16 years after that X Factor appearance after undergoing a hair transplant.
The singer, who sang in front of music mogul Simon Cowell and millions of TV viewers when he was just 16 in 2009, made it through to the quarter-finals.
LIoyd was known for his blond hair and youthful looks while fighting for his chance to win a record deal with Simon’s Syco label.
He was coached by Cheryl Tweedy and eventually finished in fifth place, with Irish judge Louis Walsh describing his performances as “karaoke”.
Lewis said at the time: “He’s only 16 – he’s got plenty of time to blossom into a real star.”
These days fans of the song will have a hard time recognizing him, with the 32-year-old’s macho looks.

In 2017 Lloyd underwent a hair transplant and opened up about his insecurities caused by his receding hairline.
He wrote on his Facebook account at the time: “There are ways to make a difference in how you feel inside. Mine starts tomorrow. I hope this inspires some of you to take the plunge if you’ve been feeling like I’ve been feeling for a long time!
Thank you for all your support! I really mean it – I hope people can realize that this is a struggle for some and that there is a way to maintain comfort with a hair transplant if you’ve experienced hair loss, whether you’re a man or a woman.”
Five years ago, LIoyd revealed to fans how he had fallen in love with a man while on The X Factor, although he felt compelled to keep his first relationship under wraps.
She admitted: “I met someone on the show and we really clicked. I’ve never had that feeling about men. I knew it was more than a friendship and it slowly unfolded. I ended up being with them for over a year.
“It was weird to accept because I was going through a huge change in my life, entering the music industry, I thought ‘am I going crazy?’ I felt colorless.
“The hardest part was not being able to talk about it.
“I won’t say I was under oath, but to that extent I couldn’t talk about it because of my status.

Lloyd announced last year that he was engaged after a romantic proposal from boyfriend Joel Harper-Jackson
“I had to target my marketing to teenage girls, that was going to sell the whole ‘Lloyd Daniels, X Factor self’.
“I felt really depressed, like I wasn’t being my true self.
“It was really, really hard. I understand that this is how the music industry works. It’s different now than it was ten years ago.’
Last year Lloyd announced that he was engaged after a romantic proposal from his friend Joel Harper-Jackson in Paris.
Joel then said, “How could I not ask him? It changed my life and changed me for the better. I am honored to call this wonderful man my fiance.’
Beaming LIoyd then wrote: “We are engaged! I’ve never been so happy. I love you.”
