The 44 -year -old retired footballer said his hair diluted that he was destroying his confidence
The Wayne Bridge feels “much better for itself” after the £ 7,000 hair transplant, as his hair diluted, destroys his confidence. The 44 -year -old retired footballer had 4,085 hair implanted in the dilution areas of the DHI Global London Clinic in September 2024.
He decided to get cosmetic help as he was “always conscious” of his bald scalp and will spend a lot of time and effort trying to hide his hair loss. It gets “one year” for the full development of Wayne’s new hair, but the former Chelsea FC defender already has a “full hair head”.
Wayne – who is married to former Saturday singers and relaxed female star Frankie Bridge – said: “It’s like having a full hair head and the transformation is quite incredible.
“When I look at the pictures before and after photos, it’s quite amazing and he has done so much about my confidence.”
Wayne added: “I could see the benefits immediately, though it was not obvious to anyone who didn’t know me I had a hair transplant.
“It takes up to one year for all new hair to grow fully, but after nine months, my hair is as good as new and will continue to grow for another three months and look even better.
“I wish I did it earlier in my hair loss because I feel much better for myself.”
Talking about when he covered his bald patches, I’m a celebrity … get me out of here! 2016 Campmate explained: “I used to move it to cover it. I didn’t get a lot of banners about it from the comrades because I was so good at hiding it.
“I work in the media and I knew I would really benefit from sorting it. You feel much more confident when your hair looks good.” It’s so thicker now and doesn’t take me time to choose from. I go out of the shower, I use a piece of product and then I’m out.
“I am bombing and that means I can wear my hair much more soon.
The advanced instant hair implantation technique – which sees doctors use a Choi Omplanter pen to “export and implant pockets directly from the donor area in the area of hair loss” – was used and set a limit at the time of stopping.
Wayne said: “I had the surgery in the morning and returned home later that day, I was so frozen during the surgery I slept, there was no swelling and we had cooled for a few days at home while recovering.
“After that, I returned to my normal routine to do the media’s job and take care of the family.”
Wayne said his 36 -year -old wife Frankie supported his decision to undergo hair transplant. He said: “So many men get help with their hair and it’s not really a big deal.
“I told Frankie what I was doing and it was really supportive, he said ‘go for it’ and supports anything that makes me feel better about myself.”
Wayne had surgery in the United Kingdom and chose DHI Global after being recommended by one of Wayne’s friends.
A DHI world spokesman said: “We increased the density of Wayne’s hair in his hair line and at the top of his scalp. We have filled the gaps to make him look younger and improve his confidence in his body.
“We are facing many high profile patients like Wayne who love to remain suitable and look good. We are happy to be so happy with the results.”
