Figure 2: The well -known technique of sandwich is often indicated for the aging of patients. This example has a glass of adolescents inside the teeth preparations and the complex resin on the outside.
Rehabilitation
Many times older patients are not worried about teeth aesthetics. Complex complex -based complexes are extremely aesthetic, but not cardiovascular. In fact, they are somewhat cardiogenic, since under the observation of an electronic scanning microscope, all complex restorations have a gap around their margins due to the approximate 2% shrinkage in almost all compositions. Preferably, use the new Forms of conventional glass in these elderly patients. The following examples of brands have no gap around their margins because there is no shrinkage. They have high fluoride release, better wear characteristics, greater durability than previous generations and somewhat better aesthetics. Examples include Equia Forte by GC America, Ionostar Plus from Veco and Ketac Universal from 3m.
Conventional materials are somewhat difficult to use because they are more adherent than typical composite materials. The proposed procedure below will require some personal experimentation before application:
1. Start preparation of teeth for repair repair.
2. Dentist mix the material as you start the approximate two -minute teeth preparations.
3. Your dentist places the material on a paper mixing pillow while finishing the preparation. The material becomes more dynamic as it begins to regulate.
4 At the time of the experimental, previously defined desired Putty viscosity, place the material in the preparation and treat a welding factor in it.
5. Go to take care of another patient, such as a hygiene control, while the glass of the Glass is starting to develop some force.
6. Go back to the restorative patient and endfully finish with a dull burning, such as a No. 7901 12-bladed Bur Carbide Note, No. 7406 12-PLADED football Bur or other appropriate shape.
7. Place a welding layer, each brand, in the restoration and treatment of the adolescent. The welding factor will soon be worn out, but protects the restoration from saliva, while the material matures its chemical set.
8. If necessary, any significant finish can be done in a subsequent recall appointment months later.
Soft treatment is required
Fragile patients deserve careful, soft treatment. Previous sentences usually reduce the severity of the needs of dental repair and soft treatment is possible.
Avoid difficult, expensive treatment
Elderly patients can only have a short part of their lives and, in my opinion, extensive treatment is usually not indicated.
As patients near the end of their lives, dental treatment becomes more difficult. The concepts described in this article have been shown to reduce the frustrations found in the treatment of patients at this time of life.
