A British tourist was “almost burnt alive” in his hotel room in Egypt when he took an electric shock that passed through his fills.
Steve Ellis, 42, says he was on a ten -night trip to Coral Sea Imperial Sensatori Hotel at Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, when he put his hand in the side and “thrown to the floor”.
He says that although he only had the electric shock for about 15 seconds, the doctors have told him that he “almost burned alive” because the electricity goes to the fills in his mouth.
Steven said, “I am filled in my mouth so that the electricity goes up there – my mouth burns.
“If I weren’t able to get away from the lamp, then I would have been burnt alive.
“I’m very lucky.
“A child could have touched the lamp and then they wouldn’t be so lucky.”
Steve says he came out of his bed when he touched the bed light with his left hand and began to suffer from electric shock.
His left hand was then stuck in the light, so he put his right hand in the light – but that was also stuck.
Steven, a dad, was then thrown out of bed while suffering from electric shock and was forced to shout for help as he was alone in the hotel room.
He was later checked by the hotel doctor and went to visit the hotel holiday spokesman, who says “he was not so annoyed by the incident.
Steve, of Gloucester, said: “We said we wanted to make a report and questioned it.
“He returned to my partner and wanted to lie and say that he saw the incident when he didn’t.
“I turned to him and almost went out – they said it would look better for the papers if you lie.
“I was not going to lie down in a document because it could return to us.”
Steve says he did not use the lamp before the incident, but later noticed that there were cables that were left out of the lamp.
He said: “There were wires coming out of the lamp.
“But it wasn’t something you would notice without going” Oh, these cables are stuck out. ”
“You wouldn’t notice it until it happened.”
Just after the incident, which occurred in January of this year, Steve remained a ring -shaped burn around his mouth.
He also had blood tests and scanning electrocardiogram (ECG) to control his heart electrical activity.
Steve says his hands “feel like they burn and sting” constantly, so he struggles to work as a kitchen fitter.
He said: “My hands feel like they burn and alert every day.
“My shoulder is in agony. It hurts when I lift things too.
“I get halfway through the day and I’m so much pain.
“I lose money because I have to go home early or do days away.”
Their holiday provider has come into contact for a comment.
