Since the first day they share smiles nine years ago, Benevis has provided dental relief that has positively affected more than 3,400 patients in 13 states and in the Columbia area thanks to the dedication of more than 1,200 volunteers. The event has helped to collapse obstacles to take care of what affects children and their family’s ability to access reliable oral health care.

According to Disease Control and Prevention Centers (CDC), in the US, more people are unable to withstand dental care from other types of healthcare. The CDC also found that unprocessed cavities were almost three times more common in two to five -year -olds living in low income (18%) against higher income households (7%). Data such as this inspirational Benevis to introduce the Day Day Sharing Smiles event, almost 10 years ago, to be able to be able to welcome local dental homes and volunteer dentistry professionals to welcome community members in their practice to help them address their need.
“Benevis is constantly working on improving access to basic dental health care and creating access to families with various forms of insurance, including Children’s Health Insurance Plans (Chip). Community, healthy, dentists and members of the administrative team who place patients at the center of care.
The exchange of smile is open to children until the age of 18 and adults who do not have Medicaid or other forms of dental insurance. The available dental treatments will be delivered at no cost.
