As a beauty author, I have tried all the treatments. I know what tends, what works and what is just noise. So when I entered Von & Co in Naples, Fl, I had some ideas for what my skin needed. But what I got was much better.
At 47, my skin has seen some things -sun, anxiety and now the hormonal displacements that come with awareness. I have noticed more dull, melasma that launches no matter how careful I am with SPF and this kind of disorderly appearance on my skin that no serum can be corrected. We closed my consultation, assuming I would go out with a laser or peel treatment recommendation. Instead, I went out with a completely customized design, combining two popular treatments, and my skin has not been so good for years.
The age of my skin:
The consultation started with Visia skin resolution. If you’ve never done, imagine a brutal honest selfie that tells you everything that happens beneath the surface. Texture, brown spots, wrinkles, are all there. The “age of the skin” was revealed to me in the 1930s, which gave me clarity. My skin is wonderful, but in my opinion it could use some help in the pigments department.
Then I met Naples, Fl Dermatologist Brandon Kirsch, MD, Von & Co. medical director. “Combined treatments are often where we see the best results,” Kirsch said. “Because the skin grows in many ways. It makes sense to approach it with multiple strategies.”
What is the “Best Together” treatment?
Dr. Kirsch and the Von & Co team recommended “Better Together”, a custom mating of BBL (broadband) and Moxi Laser. If you have read both, you know that they are both non -invasive powerhouses. The BBL aims for coloring and redness by providing light pulses to the skin, helping to weaken the sun and discoloration. Moxi, on the other hand, is a fractioned laser that creates micro-hugs to stimulate collagen and redefine the texture.
Used together, it’s a team of dreams. BBL cleans the visible damage, while Moxi goes deeper to renew and rebuild. And because they are both mild, they can be held at the same session with a minimum interruption. “They complete each other beautifully,” explained Dr. Kirsch. “The BBL acts as a reset button for the surface and Moxi sets the stage for long -term improvement.”
The experience:

The treatment itself was fast and amazing tolerable. The BBL felt like little snaps warm on my cheeks and forehead. Moxi then came, and while I wouldn’t call it relaxing, it was not painful, just a light, fragrant heat as the laser moved to my face. The whole appointment was less than an hour.
Then my skin felt warm and it looked a bit flushed, as I had a steady workout. In the following days, I had some dryness and what is often described as a “sandpaper” texture, which is normal. I wore religious sunscreen, followed the skin care after treatment and did not need any interruption beyond the exchange of foundations for Tinted SPF.
My results:

Until the five -year -old, my skin looked smoother. The dark patches on my cheeks had begun to fade. A week later, I noticed something else: Radiance. This “Lit-From-Thin” look that is difficult to fake with makeup. Friends asked if I had changed my routine. I didn’t have, I just had better skin.
Several weeks after treatment my shine continued to improve. My dark spots were lighter, the tone of my skin is more uniform and that the “blah” appearance I could not move. I had great treatments before, but this combo is one that I would recommend to anyone in 30 and beyond, especially if you see the signs of hormonal changes of the skin or the damage of the sun that eventually arrived with you.
