A Florida woman has been racing for her life after a Brazilian lift operation by a non -specialized surgeon, her husband said in a new trial.
Daidys Pena Garces, 50, has undergone the process, also known as the BBL, at the A & E Med Spa in Miami on May 15, 2023.
The business was conducted by Dr. Fermin Morales, who only weeks later caused another patient’s death after the procedure, said state health officials.
The function involves taking fat from the hips, abdomen and other areas through liposuction, before they were involved in the buttocks.
Recipients hope for a bigger, more pert rear, but experts have long warned the dangers of BBLs, which can prove to be deadly.
Less than a month after her process, Garces suffered a pulmonary embolism that caused serious brain damage and left her unable to walk, speak or feed herself, according to her husband, Jorge Fernandez.
“It was my first, like my first love,” he said Wsvn. ”[Now] Will never speak or walk or eat on its own. ”
Fernandez filed a medical neglect against A&E Med Spa and Morales, who is certified as a general surgeon, not a plastic surgeon, in June.
The lawsuit claims that Garces did not know the dangers associated with selective surgery or Morales’ qualifications because the Med spa withheld information from it.

Less than a month later after the BBL, Garces suffered a pulmonary embolism that caused severe brain damage and let her be unable to walk, speak or feed herself
“This pulmonary embolism occurred because of this surgery,” said Fernandez lawyer Lavenia Santos.
According to the lawsuit, Garces never knew that Morales was not a plastic surgeon.
“From the performances made by the agents at A&E Med Spa, every reasonable person would lead to believe that Fermin Esteban Morales, MD, was certified in plastic surgery when it was not in fact,” the court document said.
“Garces would not have undergone the process of high -risk plastic surgery if he had known it [Morales] He was not trained and certified by the boat plastic surgeon.
In Florida, there is no legal requirement to be a doctor to be certified by the Board of Directors Plastic Surgeon for the supply of a BBL.
“The woman has no idea that she is not taken care of by a plastic surgeon certified by the boat. That’s wrong, “Santos said.
“If the public knew this, they probably were not so willing to go, no matter the price. What happened to it should not happen to anyone.
A Hip The page settled for the Garces and Fernandez said that “he had no idea that the surgeon was unconditional.”
Garces’s husband filed a lawsuit against A & E Med Spa and Dr. Fermin Morales, who executed the BBL because he does not inform them that Morales is not a plastic surgeon certified by the Board of Directors

The lawsuit claims he would never have taken the business if he had met Morales was not a plastic surgeon certified by boat
“Daidys required emergency medical care and was hospitalized for seven months due to pulmonary embolism,” he read.
“Now, Daidys is unable to perform any daily living activities without help. Along with an extensive recovery process, it is now burdened with increasing medical accounts and ongoing treatments.
In addition, the lawsuit argues that Garces did not properly know the medical dangers of the business, as all the consent documents they signed were in English, not the main language of the Spanish.
In their response, A & E Med Spa denied all the allegations. Their lawyers told the local news station that Morales no longer works there.
The Daily Mail contacted A & E Med Spa, their lawyers, Morales and its current employer, New Life Plastic Sturgery, for comments.
In February, Morales was accused by the Florida Ministry of Health to cause BBL patient death in 2023, the same year as Garces’s operation, Miami Herrad reported.
On June 7, 2023, Morales allegedly put fat in the wrong area during a 40 -year BBL process at the woman’s BBL at the Venus Cosmetic Institute/Daso, located in a mall.
The woman died the next day and her autopsy found “plenty of bullets from injured fat all over the left and right surface and deep gluten muscles and” blood pellets in the blood “on her left pulmonary containers.
