Men come from Mars, women come from Aphrodite – the former still cannot understand how to put the toilet seat down and the latter, unfortunately, is allowed to get the loose. They also differ, with interest, in their teeth: men tend to have wider, square crowns, while women are often softer and more sensitive, at least until Tiktok persuades you differently.
According to Dr. Justin Giamdentist and clinical manager of Dental clinicA wonderful smile is not bound by gender. “Some patients want a younger, softer look, while others prefer something bold or impressive,” he says. “And you will be surprised how the smaller change in shape or outline of the limb can affect the character of the whole smile.”
So, then, some people walk with piano keys for teeth, shine in the dark when they smile and inspire endless threads on the internet that analyze the controversial veneers of celebrities? The answer, amazingly, has a little bit of bite. It usually ends up in veneers of a size or an excessive attempt to chase the smile of a celebrity.
“The best veneers are those that mimic nature, they are all in the fine details,” says Dr. Giam, adding that “the real teeth are not flat or perfect white, they have depth, light imperfections and texture.”
In fact, veneers should not even look white from the Clorox-Bleach. A small shade of yellow is often necessary to combine naturally with the rest, in the opposite of the spice girls, where everyone had their own distinctive tone and did their own thing. And according to Dr. Giam, the best dentists receive a first approach-studying everything from how your lips move in a state of rest and chat, on your smile line, the proportions of the face and even the way your eyes shift the middle phrase-before.
“Personally. We use data from natural teeth to design the veneers and reproduce natural grooves and contours,” he adds. These are mock-ups, not bottles: Some digital previews side by side allow patients to understand what they feel right.
Is a better smile just the beginning?
It is not surprising that good veneers offer both psychological and normal benefits, whether or not you live under the look of social media. Imagine smiling more freely, talking more confidently, and even moving the world a little differently. But venerables are not meant to be symbols of social status.

“The venerables help to protect the worn teeth and gaps that trap food,” says Dr. Giam, who has seen patients chew more efficiently and express words more clearly after treatment. He also points out that studies have shown that while veneers are primarily a cosmetic solution, they can help enhance the weakened teeth structure, “especially in the teeth they wear over time”, acting as a protective layer above the front surface and possibly further damage.
What are the veneers of a minimum of good?
The veneers were first invented for dental care, but for the silver screen. In 1928, as Hollywood began to magnify the mouths of the actors, as they could eventually talk to films, a dentist called Charles Pincus was introduced with a simple but temporary solution: thin covers to perfect a star’s smile. In 2025, they have evolved into veneers of minimal predicts, also known as veneers. Thin, custom shells attached to the front of the teeth, require less perforation, less wound and very rarely at all. A little mercy in the world of cosmetic upgrades.
Dr. Giam points out that maintaining the natural tooth structure is ideal, as it is better for long -term dental health and in some cases even reversible. But there is one catch: in the teeth that are large, dark colored or badly aligned, veneers can end up looking bulky or sit clumsy along the gum line. While this is proof that not every smile is a perfect application just outside the box, it also proves that how things do just as they look.
“Dentists should work closely with ceramics to handle every veneer,” says Dr. Giam, whose clinic even maintains the process for better control and fewer surprises. The jewelry of the corona of the veneer work, and the method used in the Dental Designs clinic, is to fasten them from a single ceramic blocks, awarded for the power and resistance of the microcresies. Another approach: Pushing ceramics under high heat and pressure to create thin, durable veneers that fit as if they were always there.
A good craftsman, according to Dr. Giam, should also “lay the ceramic in the same way natural forms of enamel, so when the light hits, it reflects and has exactly like a real tooth, revealing even the slightest gradations in the shade”. The result? “A veneer that looks three -dimensional, not like a monolithic porcelain plate.”
Finally, remember to ask if a clinic has something called a smile test, essentially a model that allows patients to “try” their new smile before the final veneer. Think of it as a test driving a new smile minus the buyer’s remorse.
How much will it cost you a series of veneers?
At Dental Designs Clinic, veneer porcelain ranges from $ 2,180 to $ 2,398 per tooth, with two finishing options at the same price of $ 457.80 (prices include GST): pressed veneer, forged from a single ceramic block below high heat and pressure for strength and strength. For those who go on the complex route, you expect to pay between $ 457.80 and $ 1,258.95 per tooth. In the context, and according to Maybank, the average cost ranges from $ 500 – $ 3,000 per tooth.
What good are veneers with no good teeth?
The veneers, in other words, are not all. “We had to say no – or at least, not yet,” says Dr. Giam, noting that good candidates need more than excitement or a collection of photographs of celebrities. Need healthy teeth and gums to work. Uncontrolled gum disease, active decomposition or outrageous expectations still rule some people.
For those who are not distracted far from alignment, maintenance is equally important. “Most people brush too hard, believing that they will make their teeth cleaner, but it really hurts enamel and gums,” says Dr. Giam. “Use a toothbrush with soft, brush gently and don’t forget to feel and if you have invested in veneer, wear a night guard to protect them while sleeping. It’s a little thing that can make a big difference.”
A better smile can only be a few millimeters of thickness, but as it turns out, a small restraint goes very far.
