Question: What symptoms indicate the need for RCT (root canal treatment)?
Answer: The main symptom is pain. The tissues of your pulp are involved and are basically a nerve, so you will feel pain. Then comes the sensitivity, especially because of the cold. The third is the pain while chewing. Finally, there is some discharge of pus, which creates an unpleasant taste in the mouth. If you are experiencing pain, you should visit the dentist. Normally, there is some sensitivity, but if the sensitivity also occurs with heat, then it is a matter of concern.
Question: When is absolutely necessary tooth export?
Answer: If the tooth has severe decomposition without any remaining crown, leaving only the roots. If there is a wisdom tooth that is affected and not in a favorable state, then we will export it. For orthodontic purposes, we extract teeth. If they stand, then we export and align. Finally, if RCT is not successful, then we extract the teeth.
Question: What types of anesthesia are given for mining?
Answer: Different types of anesthesia are available these days. In general, we use linocaine, but today, we use anesthesia in crop.
Inquiry: What are the usual reasons for teeth extracts?
Answer: If we cannot save the tooth through the root tube, then we export it. In addition, if the tooth is beyond saving, we will export it. We cannot allow the infection to insist.
Question: Is it possible that RCT could be replaced in the future due to its pain and high costs?
Answer: There are several technologies in which scientists work right now. Many of them work in regenerative endodontic. Underneath, we try to make a cluster of pulp and dentin. Below it, we don’t make a pulp, but we try to come back. We do RCT when there is infection in the pulp. Yes, scientists are working on it, but at the moment such technologies are at a very early stage.
Question: What inspired you to become an orthodontist?
Answer: I come from a medical family, but my parents are not dentists. Initially, I watched the ethics, but my mother was not supportive. Many encouraged me to try medicine and eventually ended up in dentistry. During my studies, they don’t teach much about braces. This specialization seems quite special. The field of dentistry is particularly competitive in India, but if you excel and are specialized, the sky is the limit.
Question: What do you like most about your job?
Answer: When a patient tells me that the pain is gone, it brings me enormous satisfaction. Providing pain relief and positive impact on their lives is truly satisfactory. I am grateful for choosing this profession, which allows me to make a difference in people’s lives.
