When Sanil entered the Panampilly Nagar Hair Transplant Clinic, he almost didn’t imagine it was the beginning of a long test that could threaten his life. Sanil always carries a vacuum machine with him to collect the pus coming out of his skull. He has filed a complaint against the clinic and the doctor to the Thevara Police Department. However, the clinic has remained closed since Sanil lodged the police complaint and the doctor could not be approached.

What went wrong?
According to a dermatologist based on Kozhikode and Dr Muhammed Razmi hair transplant surgeon, infections as they occur mainly when unconscious practitioners perform processes such as hair transplantation. He explains: “According to the rules of the National Medical Committee, a procedure such as hair transplantation should only be done by a dermatologist or plastic surgeon, however, many relegated or non -accelerated medical doctors also do such cosmetic procedures. remove the affected skin or patch from their body so that they do not spread to other areas.

How can patients stay safe?
If you wish to do a cosmetics process such as hair transplantation, here are some indicators that Dr. Razmi recommend for patients, both before and after treatment:
1) Make sure the doctor you consult is a specialized professional and personally performs the procedure. Sometimes, a certified doctor is only the face of the clinic, while undergoing the staff exercising the procedure. If possible, you can also get in touch with former patients and ask about their experience.
2) If the rate of a process is reported very low, know that the quality will eventually happen. Many reliable doctors quote around Rs 30 to 60 per implant (about three hairs). At the same time, the report of a high price does not guarantee quality.

3) Marketing predator techniques, known as “brand ambassadors”, should not ensure quality, as the service offered may vary between customers.
4) Leave at least one week for treatment and if you have pain or similar complications, seek medical guidance regularly.
5) Follow the prescription medicines and precautions of the doctor consistently and with discipline.
