Amelia Gray Hamlin gets real about the plastic surgery she’s had.
Hamlin, the 24-year-old daughter of “Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” star Lisa Rinna and “LA Law” actor Harry Hamlin, opened up about the work she’s done — and hasn’t done — as, fittingly, she makes her acting debut in Ryan Murphy’s new Hulu series criticizing societal beauty standards.
“I’ve always had those lips,” Amelia Hamlin he told Variety in an interview published on January 24. And although she says she hasn’t used lip fillers, she does get hyaluronic acid injections through Juvéderm’s SkinVive, which improves the “smoothness of facial skin on the cheeks,” according to US Food and Drug Administration.
After the model faced cosmetic surgery rumors in 2021 when she posted a photo with plastic surgeon Dr. Jason Diamond, Rinna posted a baby photo of her youngest daughter on Instagram and wrote: “She’s always had the most beautiful lips.”
Hamlin, according to Variety, had a nose job as well as a breast reduction and augmentation. As previously explained in a 2021 show podcasts on Skinny Confidential’s “The Him & Her Show,” Hamlin had an infection from a nipple injury that nearly festered and underwent surgery at age 16.
She later got breast implants, she told Variety, when “I was dating someone who was older than me when I was younger and I allowed his perception of beauty to influence my choices.”
“And I decided to get another breast augmentation because I wasn’t necessarily happy with the scars from the reduction,” says Gray. “I woke up in a situation I didn’t agree with. We can just say that.”
The augmentation also caused problems for Hamlin “because my chest literally couldn’t take it [was] put me in,” she said, adding, “It got to the point where I couldn’t even pump soap because the implants were pressing on the nerves. I ended up having a 14-hour recovery operation.”
Amelia Gray Hamlin says she’s ‘not sure’ if she’ll continue acting
As for her future on the silver screen, Hamlin left her options open.
“I talk to Kaia Gerber every time I see her at Pilates because she went from modeling to acting. The respect I have for actors, people don’t understand,” Hamlin said. “It took me 16 hours and two-plus days to shoot a three-minute scene. Baby, it takes me a day to shoot a whole campaign, you know? So I don’t know. I’m very grateful for my job and I have a lot of respect for actors. I’m just not sure it’s my life yet.”
But there’s one thing she’s sure of: Hamlin is walking away from reality, despite her mother’s impressive appearance on the Peacock’s competition show “The Traitors.”
“It never happens,” Hamlin said. “You can tell people to stop approaching me for them. I’ve had enough.”
