We hear a lot about how the conventional medical service model breaks. Most people had the experience of seeing a GP (often getting an appointment is a test in itself) that says: “I think something is not wrong, but I’m not a specialist, so I’ll refer you to someone else.”
Reference could mean a long wait, while with pain, travel and extra cost and is even more difficult outside the urban areas.
Founded in 2022 by Dr. Sonia Szamocki, 32COCO It aims to bridge the gap between general dental clinics and orthodontic experts through a collaborative digital platform. It allows dentists to provide local orthodontic care of specialized quality, reducing the need for references, long distance trips or treatment delays.
Dr. Szamocki started working on A&E then moved to Counseling and later to Medtech, building applications facing patients.

“In all these experiences, I saw the same basic problem in health care: Access to special care is limited, expensive and often annoying.
I wanted to build technology that allows General Clinical Doctors – Doctors and Dentists – to deliver the type of specialized care that you will usually enter into a hospital. ”
Why focus on dental care?
Dental care is often regarded as optional and expensive, with many things not covered by health insurance unless you have pain.
But according to Dr. Szamocki, orthodontics has long -term health benefits, preventing cavities and protecting bite.
“In the United Kingdom, we have about 1,000 orthodontists for 60 million people. In the meantime, 60 percent of people have aligned teeth.
So there is a huge gap that we can help on the bridge, allowing general dentists to deliver this care with specialized support. ”
Training of Clinical Doctors to provide special care at level
For dentists, 32CO offers structured, interactive training, including a four -week starting course and a more advanced stretching course, focusing on building an expertise on pure alignment treatment.
With the twin, dentists work directly alongside the UK’s leading orthodontists throughout the treatment process, promoting knowledge exchange and practical support.
Solo offers clinical doctors more autonomy, allowing them to manage independently cases, while having access to technical support from orthodontist support staff.
Dentists learn fully adaptable alignment options, choosing materials, care lines and attachment plans to meet the needs of each patient.
Patients receiving 32CO treatment benefit from specially designed clear aligners who combine the ideas of top orthodontists with the care of local dentists.
This ensures that every treatment plan is both clinically healthy and adapted to the individual.
As part of the collaborative model, the dentist handles the patient locally, including files, checks and treatment delivery, while the specialist works distancely to advise the case.
Dr. Szamocki shared:
“It weighs their know -how and allows more patients to benefit, without depriving the need for experts. Some cases still need personal care and we are clear about it.
Education starting with scenarios of worst case
Many industries have their challenges when it comes to upgrading. According to Dr. Szamocki, healthcare professionals are trained to head and patients first.
“It’s not economical – it’s a security. You could offer a doctor a million pounds to introduce a new medicine and they will still say no if they are not sure they are safe.
Therefore, the only way to encourage doctors to try new things is to build confidence with the training of clinical doctors effectively and to give them immediate access to specialists who can support them.
The 32CO platform helps them quickly acquire expert knowledge so that they do not use patients as test cases, but they are sure of high quality care.
Dr. Szamocki claims that doctors are lifelong students “, but the emotional burden of their work means they think in terms of the worst scenarios.”
“So we train backwards. We start with what happens if something goes wrong. Then we build from there. It is to give them the tools to handle complexity, not just the knowledge of the book.”
Education has gathered a strong appeal with dentists to sign in large numbers, often through mouth to mouth. 32CO does not charge for education because it believes in removing barriers to upgrading.
Many people say, “I hate the dentist.”
This is difficult for clinical doctors. As Dr. Szamocki notes, if every patient arrives in fear, it is not an excellent work environment!
“Part of what I want to do is make his experience being a clinical doctor more empowering so that they feel excited to help people, not to be worn out.”
32CO is currently expanding the platform to support more than the manager’s side by helping dentists manage the patient’s journey, not just treatment.
It also uses AI to automate routine tasks such as clinical letters and to launch a coaching tool that is trained in thousands of special cases. It acts as a 24/7 companion to support dentists with real -time guidance.
From teeth to sleep
One of the advantages of the 32CO collaborative model is that it can be extended to other specialties in health care. 32CO plans to face sleep and sleep apnea afterwards, a specialty that Dr. Szamocki believes is poorly managed by the medical community, “even though we have effective solutions”.
“Treatment is often coated and not accessible through traditional clinical routes. We build a path to fix it.”
