Despite rumors that Kanye West may have a fifth child on the way, it seems the rapper isn’t putting his health first. After his new $850,000 set of titanium dentures debuted, dental professionals are questioning the long-term safety of his new teeth.
Page six confirmed that Kanye had a pair of “fixed prosthetics” in his mouth. He enlisted the help of Dr. Thomas Connelly, who refers to himself as “The Father of Diamond Dentistry,” to carry out the controversial cosmetic change. The rapper continued to reveal his new metal implants last Wednesday.
Kanye’s new teeth could hurt him in the long run
Now, there is talk that Kanye’s new implants are not only expensive but also potentially dangerous to his oral health.
Talking to you Daily Mail, Australian dentist Dr Sam Koh explained“Microscopically, there will be a lot of food, bacteria and debris under the titanium, which can then cause a lot of bad breath, sensitivity, tooth decay and gum problems like disease and infection if the titanium is there long term.”
“The rest of the teeth will move over time, causing the adhesive that holds the titanium in place to deteriorate,” the doctor continued. “This would result in either the bridge loosening over time, or worse, tooth decay, infection and disease with bacteria then being able to get inside the teeth.”
Why Kanye is reportedly obsessed with his teeth
While Kanye’s new teeth may seem like a random choice, a source said Page six that the rapper has been fascinated with his teeth for some time, even claiming that Ye keeps a dozen dentists on rotation.
“He brought a dentist to another dental office to show him how to work on his teeth,” they said.
The source added that Kanye’s obsession with his teeth began in 2002 when a car accident left him with his jaw wired shut. He went on to record his first single ‘Through The Wire’ while his jaw was still wired shut.
Although Kanye has had various grills in and out of his mouth over the years, what makes his new teeth stand out is that they are permanent, which could cause health problems in the future.

Kanye West’s net worth proves that breaking up with the Kardashians wasn’t his best move
Before his divorce from Kim Kardashian, Kanye West was a member of the “billionaire club,” but his net worth has plummeted in recent years.
“They are, as the name suggests, fixed and permanent,” the source continued. “This goes beyond veneers or grills. And his particular implant is unlike anything that’s been done before.” The insider added: “All this said… his teeth were not removed.”
Kanye has not responded to the concern about how the implants might affect his health, but he may have other things on his mind, given that there has been speculation that his wife Bianca Censori is pregnant. The former Yeezy employee was recently spotted in uncharacteristically baggy clothing. Coupled with the fact that she isn’t showing as much skin as she’s notoriously known for, some have wondered if she’s hiding a baby bump.
Kanye married Bianca in December 2022, just one month after his divorce from Kim Kardashian was finalized. Ye and Kim have four children.
