“Teen Mom 2” alum. Kailyn Lowry opens up about having recently undergone a breast reduction, liposuction and tummy tuck, also known as a tummy tuck.
MI! The news reported that Lowry suggested that she not have the cosmetic procedures done during the week of Christmas while filming an Instagram video on January 6. The mother of seven explained that she decided to have the surgeries because of her struggle with body image. She said she believed “being thin is really a mental illness.”
“I pray that my kids never struggle with their body images to the point where they mutilate their bodies to be thin,” Lowry said in her Instagram video.
She then went on to say that “she’s basically willing to spend every year and do this over Christmas break to be thin.” Lowry also noted that she was away from her children because she was “in a different state for Christmas” to have the surgeries. In addition, her fiance said, Elijah Scotthe was unable to help her after her surgeries.
“I realized I shouldn’t put Elijah in all of this,” Lowry continued.
Lowry also issued a warning to those interested in getting elective cosmetic surgery.
“Think once, think twice before you get plastic surgery,” Lowry said.

Kailyn Lowry talked about wanting another tummy tuck in April 2024
In an April 2024 TikTok video, Lowry said she explained why she wanted another tummy tuck after having one in 2016. She said her abs changed during her pregnancy with her 7-year-old son, Lux.
“I need a tummy tuck revision because here my muscles are so hard – it’s not fat – this is muscle that was destroyed during pregnancy after my tummy tuck,” Lowry said.
According to Page Six, Lowry said getting her first tummy tuck “was the best decision [she] ever made” on a January 2024 episode of her previous podcast, “Baby Mamas No Drama.” She said, however, that she had to wait to have the procedure until she had all her children.
“The worst decision I ever made was not waiting until I was done having kids,” Lowry said.
Kailyn Lowry said she regretted having her tubes tied
During an October 2024 appearance on the “Just Trish” podcast, Lowry said she regretted having her tubal ligation after the birth of her twins, Verses and Valley, 1. She explained that she wished she had given Valley, her only daughter, a sister.
“I always wanted her to have a sister. I was like we have to wait until we have another girl. Like IVF did with sex selection,” Lowry said on the podcast.
