“A more complicated cleft palate could cost $1,500 or more,” says Dr. Weiser.
Laugh Lines
Alternatively called smoker’s lines, laugh lines or perioral wrinkles, these are the small vertical lines and creases caused by repetitive mouth movement. “By placing small amounts of filler in the contour of the vermilion [the delineation of your lip] and also in the skin between your lips and nose, lines and wrinkles can be softened or eliminated,” says Dr. Weiser.
You may not need a lot of products here, but due to the complexity of the process, the cost will likely be high. Dr. Ourian says the treatment starts at about $3,000 and the filler lasts one to three years.
Of course, pricing depends on the filler your provider chooses to use, but mainly for the lip and oral area, Juvéderm Volbella and Restylane Kysse they are both FDA approved.
There is also a class of fillers called RHAs, or elastic hyaluronic acid. These treat static wrinkles (the ones that etch into your skin when it’s still) as well as dynamic wrinkles (the ones that appear when you make an expression). They are still HA based so can be reversed if needed but have more of a gel texture. Revance RHA Redensity is FDA approved to treat fine lines and wrinkles in this area.

So-called wet nose jobs are gaining popularity on Instagram for their ability to temporarily reshape your nose without asking you to go under the knife. Although the procedure is non-invasive, it is an off-label use of filler and requires someone who specializes in the technique, similar to under-eye filler.
“This is one of the highest risk areas for filler injection and should always be done by a board-certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon,” says Dr. Weiser. When performed by a qualified doctor, liquid rhinoplasty can produce many of the same results as a surgical rhinoplasty, but the results will be temporary. “It can be done to soften a dorsal bump, lift the nasal tip, or straighten the line of your nose,” says Dr. Weiser.
Dr. Ourian, who shares videos of the procedure on Instagram, estimates the cost to be between $3,900 and $8,900. In other less popular (but still reliable) clinics, the cost can start from around $1,000. As for the time it takes? 15 minutes.
I’m coming soon…
Dr. Engelman told us about one of the most recent treatments to receive FDA approval: Skinvive by Juvéderm is “the first and only intradermal microdroplet injection of hyaluronic acid for skin smoothness available in the US,” he says. This is done to replicate the hydrated look and smooth feel that comes with facial fillers, just without the super plump look. That doesn’t mean there won’t be some subtle growth, though. you will notice that the overall smoothing effect helps to iron out fine lines and wrinkles in the most natural way. Dr. Engelman says results can last about six months with optimal injection and care.
