The Corrie star, now 25, revealed the results of the procedure in smiling Instagram photos, which showed him holding a ‘Mr Hair Transplant’ mug and flashing a thumbs up.
“A little different from my usual hairstyle…,” she wrote in a lengthy caption.
“On Monday I had a hair transplant. A transplant has been on my agenda since I first noticed my hair loss at age 22.
“Losing my hair at such a young age was a hard thing for me to come to terms with, I instantly feel MUCH better and more confident that I’ve taken a step towards getting my luscious strawberry blonde back.”
He concluded that “there will be no more hairstyles and baseball caps” and said he was looking forward to a “broken hair future”.
Colson’s post was met with love from his followers, with @lizziephil18 replying: “Good for you and for helping others by being open about it.
You are an absolute inspiration and you should be very proud of yourself.’
Coronation Street actress Tina O’Brien, who plays Sarah Platt, added: ‘Go Colson! I’m glad to see you so happy.’
The actor, who has been on Corrie since 2011, came 3rd behind Strictly star Nikita Kuzmin and Ibiza Weekender host David Potts in ITV’s Celebrity Big Brother revival earlier this year.
During his appearance on the show he clashed with the inventor of Reggae Reggae sauce, Levi Roots, who described his behavior as “boring”.
After leaving the house, she returned to the cobbles of Coronation Street and played a part in one of the biggest stories of the year.
In recent scenes, Craig was recruited by DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers) to follow up on her lead against Joel Deering (Calum Lill).
Craig agreed to help, despite the fact that both of them could lose their jobs since the case was officially closed by CPS, and delivered the address Lisa was looking for.
