Sophie Kasaei has revealed she ‘almost died’ after undergoing a nasty BBL in Turkey when she was 24.
The Geordie Shore star, 34, opened up about the “traumatic” procedure that “almost killed her” during a candid TikTok video she posted on Monday.
Sophie, who was insecure about her ‘wide bottom’, admitted she was promised a ‘Kim Kardashian figure’ but instead suffered ‘racing’ effects from the botched operation.
The TV personality suffered a life-threatening abscess that led to her undergoing emergency surgery to drain a liter of bile from her left cheek.

Shedding light on her ‘near death experience’, Sophie said: ‘Someone who didn’t have a lot of curves, I was quite straight, I thought ‘oh that’s amazing, I can go to Turkey for free and get a BBL and you look like Kim Kardashian and you have this amazing figure.’
Turkey has become one of the most popular destinations, fueled by celebrities and influencers who have made the four-hour journey in a bid to rejuvenate their bodies.
He added: “I was about 24 when I went to Turkey. When I got to Turkey I had the procedure and a few days later I was looking at myself in the mirror and thought “wait, should I be this bruised?”
“The holes in my back too. I looked like a sieve. I just have burn marks all over my back where they went through.
“I also had liposuction because I was promised my body would be great and I would look amazing.
“After the healing process, six or eight weeks later, I started having pain in my left cheek and I was in agony.
“I was in Mexico at the time and I actually went to a hospital there. They put me on a drop and started to panic. Everyone was running around.
“And they said it was an abscess in theirs and if that burst, you’d be dead.

Sophie said: “Someone who wasn’t very curvy, I was quite straight, I thought ‘oh this is amazing, I can go to Turkey for free and get a BBL and look like Kim Kardashian and have this amazing figure’. ( Sophie’s bottom pictured before surgery, left)
He added: “I was about 24 when I went to Turkey. When I got to Turkey I had the procedure and a few days later I was looking at myself in the mirror and thought “wait, should I be this bruised?” (Sophie was photographed immediately after her procedure)

“I told them to book me a flight home because if I’m going to die, I want to die with my family around me.
“So I went back to Newcastle. I went straight to the hospital. I had to stay in there overnight, wake up in the morning and go straight to surgery to have this abscess growing in my bum drained.
“They drained a liter of wine. It was so traumatic. Filling it was the worst pain in the world – I screamed my way down the hospital.
“It was just hell. I felt sick, I couldn’t walk, my whole leg was numb. I couldn’t even sit on it. It was just sheer agony.
“Eventually the wound healed, but it was creating this horrible scar that left this shark-like terror.”
