Negreskul suggested to Kiachtchenko during the last year of the Dental School in the park where they walked together when they started dating. Kiachtchenko said he was surprised – but that the moment was perfect. Said “yes.”
“For me, it wasn’t just that Alex was my friend. He was my mentor in dentistry,” Kiachtchenko said. “We shared so many goals, values and even hobbies.”
Since their marriage in 2011, the couple has said their passion for dentistry and the desire to continue learning has only been deepened. “It is amazing to look back all that we have achieved together: From meeting to dental school to move to the US and start a new life here, navigate to language, make new friends and rebuild a life away from home” Negreskul said, “IT is not only our achievements in dentistry, but also the support of our families back in Ukraine who believed in our dreams and our future here in the US are grateful for any experience and challenge in the process because they have made us stronger. The love story of Agarwal and Bakerywala was formed from being in the right place at the right time.
The couple were both in the advanced GSDM program, but Agarwal was a year ahead of Bakerywala. Howver, Bakerywala said that their trails seem to cross more often than he could imagine.
Initially, Bakerywala became amazed at the sincerity that Agarwal spoke. Slowly, but certainly, he began to see beauty in his honesty and unlimited optimism.
“It took me some time to realize it. In love with him – his spirit, his effort, his heart – was one of the most beautiful things that ever happened to me” Said Bakerywala.
Their first dates were not full of roses and candles, but the manuals and anatomy diagrams. Said Bakerywala. These “study dates” evolved into a real connection.
“It’s funny how love can slip you like that,” Bakerywala said. “They were not fireworks or big gestures – they were in quiet moments. The stolen eyes, the way our conversations made everything fade into the background. Before I knew, every study session felt like a date and every day with him felt As something I never wanted to finish. “
Bakerywala said she appreciates how their differences – both dental and personal – comply with each other. In all the numerous chaotic moments of their relationship, the couple believes that every unexpected twist brought them exactly where they should be.
“We owe a huge thanksgiving that gave us the opportunity to be part of their program – because, without it, our love story could never have had the opportunity to bloom,” Bakerywala said. “It is incredible how life works, how a single decision can set the scene for something so beautiful. Looking back, I am so grateful that our trails crossed there as it was the beginning of everyone.”
