If you’re in the market to buy a home but want to save money, you may want to check out the results of a recent study that found the “most affordable” zip codes to buy a property in each State. American Shield Home said it determined which ZIP codes were the most affordable by using the U.S. Census database to find the population of each ZIP code in the United States with more than 10,000 residents and analyzing Zillow home prices. Home sales in Citrus County are seeing a spike in the new year. Data from the Florida Realtors Report shows a nearly 14% increase in single-family home sales for the month of January compared to last year. A total of 222 sales were recorded for the month, up from 195 sales during the same period last year.
› Place of Hope adds more affordable housing to its Boca Raton campus
A South Florida nonprofit hopes to provide more housing for families at an affordable cost. Place of Hope is expanding its Boca Raton campus to help those in need get back on their feet. “It’s the nicest place I’ve ever lived in my entire life. That’s the truth,” said Place of Hope resident Dillon Green. Green spent much of his childhood in the foster care system, lacking stability and distrusting adults.
