Matt Drudge slashed the price of his Miami home by $500,000

Even with the price drop, he will come away well ahead on the property, which he purchased in 2011 for $1,450,000.

The gated home spans 4.7 acres, which is unusually large for homes in metro Miami. The secluded location is home to large palm trees and other native plants.

At nearly 6,700 square feet, the home provides enough living space for a large family. There are three bedrooms, an upstairs lounge area and a library.

Details include travertine and parquet floors, exposed beams and white walls. The kitchen is equipped with commercial grade appliances and an island with a raised section.

There are balconies on the second floor and the master bedroom includes a bathroom with a jetted tub.
