- Jessie Carr had fox eye threads to lift her brows and perfect her look
- But the TikToker, 21, was left with bumps on the sides of her forehead
- The 21-year-old shared her experience in a series of TikTok videos
- Jessie says procedure was her ‘biggest regret’
A young woman who had cosmetic surgery to improve her appearance was left with lumps on the sides of her forehead.
Jessie Carr, from Sydney, paid $2,000 for a fox thread lift in October 2021, but was extremely disappointed with the end result.
The procedure helps create an attractive ‘fox eye’ look by lifting the corners of the brows, but a few weeks after Jessie noticed the threads were visible.
The 21-year-old shared her experience in a series of TikTok videos and the threads were eventually removed.

“I can’t take myself seriously,” she captioned a TikTok video, then added: “Definitely not worth it, it doesn’t work and it made me look spoiled!”
The procedure involves inserting biodegradable threads under the skin to lift the brows and is raved about by celebrities.
But Jessie never expected that choosing to have the procedure would turn into a nightmare.
“I can’t take myself seriously,” she captioned a TikTok video, then added: “Definitely not worth it, it doesn’t work and it made me look spoiled!”
After the threads were inserted, Jessie began to swell heavily, claiming that this remained for two weeks.

“That’s when I started noticing that my brows were completely uneven,” Jessie said in a second video.
Once the swelling went down and the bruises healed, her eyebrows looked raised, which only stayed for a short time.
“That’s when I started noticing that my eyebrows were completely uneven,” she said in a second video.
Eight weeks later both eyebrows had “fallen” back to their original position.
‘I used to have [the] bumps on my face, but they didn’t stick out as much and didn’t look inflamed,” she said.
Over time the threads gradually got “worse and worse” to the point where they were completely visible and coming out completely.

When she returned to the doctor, the surgeons gave Jessie two options – the first to remove the threads surgically or to ‘dissolve’ the threads using an alternative method known as the Ultaformer.
Jessie chose the second option over surgery.
He said that if he pressed hard enough on the threads he could feel “the liquid transfer from side to side.”
Jessie also received a partial refund of $1100 and it is currently in the process of having the threads removed.
