Our MySweetSmile Teeth Whitening Powder Review
With over a thousand five-star reviews on Amazon, this whitening powder is one of MySweetSmile’s most popular products, so we were especially excited to try it out.
It’s a light blue powder that comes in a flip-top pot with step-by-step instructions on the side of the box.
How to use it:
The box instructs you to dip your wet toothbrush into the powder and brush for about four minutes, twice a week.
Simple.
Our experience:
The first thing we noticed was that it had a pretty strong baking powder smell even before opening it, but it’s not necessarily unpleasant or bothersome.
In terms of taste, the powder tastes bitter enough that it’s not minty like other teeth whitening products, but it was tolerable for four minutes of brushing.
We were impressed by how quickly it foamed up, and that we only needed a small amount of the product to fully coat our teeth. The container it comes in is a decent size, so we think it will probably last close to the six months MySweetSmile claims.
As this powder is more a long term treatment, Understandably, there was no direct effect on the color of our teeth. However, it did make our teeth slightly more sensitive after use, but that wears off after a few hours.
Initial opinion:
Ultimately, we found the powder easy to use and are interested to see if it will have a whitening effect on our teeth after a few weeks.
Our fingers are crossed!

Our MySweetSmile Whitening Pen Review
Initial opinion:
We have always been someone who has naturally yellowish teeth. Sometimes it’s not about hygiene and everything it has to do with genetics. There’s no reason to feel bad about it.
And while we’ve skeptically tried the list of whitening kits in search of that brighter smile, we’ve never tried a pen.
It’s safe to say we were pleasantly surprised.
How to use it:
Application is simple: with a simple twist of the base, the product will flow through the brush.
Apply the whitening product to the teeth you want to whiten, let it sit for 10 minutes, then rinse. No more dipping your toothbrush into products or applying plastic teeth whitening strips.
We used it after brushing our teeth with our regular toothpaste — easy peasy!
Our experience:
We’ve been using the MySweetSmile teeth whitening pen for a fortnight now, and while the results haven’t been dramatic, we can confidently say it’s a great on-the-go solution for quick lighting. It is definitely a convenient addition to our oral care routine.
Fortunately it has a pleasant taste and smell too: just a faint hint of mint. Consider Spearmint Extra Chewing Gum.
Thanks to its non-abrasive formula, the texture is extremely smooth and leaves no sticky residue – your teeth will feel well cared for.
Another feature that stood out for us was compatibility with dental work.
We have a partial front tooth, so it was important for us to use a teeth whitening product that could be applied over fillings, caps or crowns, without problems.
In terms of overall stain and discoloration removal, we can see this our teeth have lightened about two shades. It might be subtle, but we’ve done it by all means found it effective.
The best part;
It is fluoride-free without peroxides, PEGs, parabens or phthalates, providing fast whitening results without the sensitivity that peroxide-based bleaches are known to cause.
So before you ask “Is MySweetSmile safe to use?” — yes, yes it is.
To get the best results, it is highly recommended to use the pen three times a week. And while it’s not a long-term solution, it’s a fantastic option for those looking for a quick touch here and there — especially if you’re a fan of high-tannin coffees, teas, and wines.

Is there a way to whiten a false tooth?
In short, whitening a false tooth is a no-go.
Whether you have dentures, a crown or a filling, these materials are very different from a tooth’s natural makeup and are usually designed around a specific shade. If you push abrasive whitening products on false teeth, you may end up damaging them.
If your false teeth have discolored over time, it is too late to whiten them. But if you maintain good oral hygiene, you can protect your pearly whites from getting further surface stains.
Side note, since one of our editors has a partial denture, this is a bonus of MySweetSmile’s mildly effective products: it shouldn’t cause any damage when applied to dentures. Win-win.
Does baking soda really help whiten teeth?
Baking soda is an active ingredient in many toothpastes and other teeth whitening agents, as it gently scrubs the surface of the stain you’re targeting. Using baking soda you should notice a distinctive before and after in terms of shades.
However, it is worth noting that using baking soda alone is it is not a substitute for toothpaste — it’s best to invest in products that boast it as an active ingredient.
Our verdict on MySweetSmile whitening solutions
As we’ve only used the powder a few times, we haven’t noticed a difference yet, but the potential for whiter teeth is definitely there. The taste may not be the most pleasant, but, again, it is worth it as a long-term solution.
The whitening pen works wonders as a short-term solution: it’s especially handy when you’re on the go. The flavor is minty, but not overpoweringly so, and it seems to do what it says on the tin — we’re sold.
Overall, compared to other teeth whitening powders on the market, MySweetSmile stands out as one of the cheaper options, so in our opinion, it’s definitely worth a try!
