During this year Miami competitionthe duPont REGISTRY group (DRG) joined the Miami Design District owner of the event, resulting in an astonishing variety of vehicles, from early concepts to timeless icons and new unveilings.
The hypercars, however, emerged as the undisputed stars of the event on the red carpet, like the BugattiEB110, Mercedes SLR McLarena row of rainbows Paganis and a privileged few RUFs.
Speaking at the event, Craig Robins, founder of the Miami Design District, said: “We are thrilled to partner with duPont REGISTRY, which has been an essential presence in the lives of luxury car enthusiasts for nearly four decades,” adding “The Miami Concours is an incredible platform to showcase some of the most coveted rarities in automotive history. Every year, this weekend brings together the community and ardent automobile enthusiasts from around the world to appreciate remarkable know-how. I can’t imagine a more fitting destination than the Miami Design District to host this spectacular weekend.
Notably, this latest addition marks the prestigious event’s seventh annual red carpet showcase, with the inclusion of DRG elevating it to new heights – thanks to its extensive portfolio in the luxury automotive lifestyle sector, including the iconic Cavallino Classic Ferrari event. DRG’s involvement underlines the event’s appeal among high-end consumers, having attracted around 25,000 people.
At the event there was truly something for everyone, including a rare F1 car driven by Michael Schumacherthe unveiling of a Pagani Imola Roadsterone of eight in the world and one Ultra-rare Bugatti EB110 from 1993, one of only 30 copies ever made. In addition, the show presented vehicles aimed at enthusiasts, such as RUF North America‘s Oak Green on Nato Green RCT Evo Restomod.
Explaining the vehicle in more detail to Hypebeast, RUF NA Account Manager Esteban Larrañaga shared: “For the RCT, which stands for RUF carrera turbo, we built a narrow body carrera into a 3.6 single turbo vehicle. L 6-speed, with 425 hp maximum. rear wheels,” adding “This is a rebirth of the RCT model allowing customers to relive the experience of ordering an air-cooled RUF vehicle while making it their own. »
The restomod features the brand’s iconic spot-welded chassis, shaved rain rails, sunroof delete, integrated roll bar and optional carbon skin, providing the appearance of a classic while outperforming most modern cars.
