What’s her little secret?
Lindsay Lohan dressed to impress at her recent press tour for her new Netflix holiday rom-com, “Our Little Secret,” but it’s not just her outfits that are drawing attention.
The beloved movie star – who has had her share of highs and lows over the years – seems to have undergone both an inner and outer transformation.
Although Lohan, 38, claims she fights aging with a simple skin care routine, Page Six gathered cosmetic surgery experts — none of whom have treated the “Mean Girls” star — for their take on her stunning glow .
Jeune Aesthetics Founder Pamela Weinberger tells us that Lohan likely had a mix of injectables like Botox, brow lifts, lip and cheek fillers, as well as surgeries like upper blepharoplasty, endoscopic facelifts and submental liposuction, which removes fat from the neck and chin.
“Some results can be achieved with experienced injectors, but for transformations these dramatic, surgical improvements seem possible,” says the Miami-based medical injector.
“However, the secret sauce here is balance: experienced injectors and surgeons work together for a ‘natural but better’ look.”
Weinberger adds, “The best work has to look invisible. The magic is in how far technology and art have come.”
Acclaimed plastic surgeon Dr. Ramtin Kassir agrees that Lohan likely went under the knife, noting upper and lower blepharoplasty, deep facelifts and neck lifts as possible procedures she’s had.
The New York-based nose specialist doesn’t believe the “Freaky Friday” star has had any rhinoplasty, however, and in fact believes the star may have reversed some of the bad surgeries she’s had in the past.
“I think it’s dissolved what she had before,” says Kassir, adding that the weight loss likely also contributed to Lohan’s changed appearance.
“Her face is definitely not what we call ‘pillow face’ or full. This could be because she either lost weight, the filler dissolved or was washed out during the operation,” he explains.
Dr. Ari Hoschander’s KH Plastic Surgery in New York agrees, “The main reason I think she looks better is because she’s lost weight.”
“He didn’t do any type of facelift. I think she just lost some weight,” says the board-certified plastic surgeon.
Weinberger shares that fans who want to achieve a youthful look like Lohan should follow the “holy trinity” of glows: eating clean, vitamins and possibly some peptides, and NAD.
“Start a healthy lifestyle,” she says before joking that it’s “yeah, boring” but “essential.”
All of our experts also point out that Lohan’s face looks much smoother, which was likely achieved by undergoing skin treatments such as laser resurfacing, chemical peels and micro-needling.
Hoschander tells us, “At most, she did a few lasers for her skin color and texture on her face—maybe a touch of filler, but definitely not much.”
People on social media are also widely speculated if the ‘Parent Trap’ star had a facelift.
While most of our experts don’t think Lohan has had one yet, Dr. Samuel Lynn explains why age under 40 does not necessarily exclude a patient as a candidate.
“Anatomy matters more than age when it comes to facelifts. There is no specific ‘right’ age for the procedure as it depends on individual anatomy and genetics,” says the board-certified plastic surgeon.
“While some candidates in their late 40s may be ready for a facelift, others may not experience sufficient skin sagging until their 50s or later.”
Lin further explains that factors such as age, genetics and lifestyle create a range of timelines for when a facelift may be beneficial.
And he concludes, “Ultimately, your anatomy is the key, not your age.”
