Lionel Messi makes his League Cup debut today in his first match for Inter Miami, and the whole world will be watching.

The 36-year-old Argentine soccer star officially signed with the team on July 15 and his first match will take place against Mexico’s Cruz Azul on Friday, July 21 at the DRV PNK Stadium in Fort Lauderdale as part of the annual competition between the Major League Soccer. and Liga MX. The game will be streamed exclusively on the Apple TV app MLS Season Pass streaming service and will also be broadcast live on Univision.

Apple TV+ recently announced its four-part documentary series that follows the seven-time Ballon d’Or footballer through his five World Cup appearances, ending with his 2022 World Cup victory in Qatar. It was also the subject of a documentary made in 2014 by Álex de la Iglesia.

How to stream Messi’s first game with Miami and other MLS matches

Messi’s first League Cup match with Inter Miami will take place on July 21 at 5 p.m. PT / 8 p.m. ET, and the first match will be broadcast exclusively on MLS Season Pass on Apple TV and will be broadcast in Spanish on Univision.

MLS Season Pass memberships cost $13 per month or $39 per season for existing memberships. Apple TV+ subscribers, or $15 per month ($49 per season) for viewers without Apple’s streaming service. Apple TV+ costs $7 per month and includes a seven-day trial, so new subscribers can technically watch Messi’s first Miami match for free during that time.
