In late 2024, Diddy faced a series of lawsuits over sexual assault allegations before the expiration of the Adult Survivors Act, which granted a waiver of the statute of limitations, allowing assault victims to come forward when they were previously unable to do so. . He has denied all allegations relating to these proceedings.
The first complaint was filed by singer Cassandra Ventura. Court documents obtained by The Mirror claim that Diddy “lured Ms. Ventura into an ostentatious, fast-paced, drug-fueled lifestyle, and into a romantic relationship with him.” The case was settled privately a day after it was filed.
A second lawsuit, filed by Joi Dickerson-Neal, claimed he drugged her at a dinner in 1991. At the time, a representative for Diddy told the Mirror: “This last-minute lawsuit is an example of how a well-meaning law Ms. Dickerson’s 32-year-old story is made up and not credible. Mr. Combs never assaulted her, and she involves businesses that didn’t exist. It is simply a financial grab and nothing more.
In another lawsuit, filed by Jane Doe, Diddy was accused of raping her and strangling her until she passed out. The fourth case, also filed by Jane Doe, alleged that Diddy, Harve Pierre, then president of Bad Boy Records, and an unnamed individual “gang-raped” her, according to documents obtained by The Mirror.
The long list of allegations led Diddy to release a statement on social media. He wrote: “Enough is enough. Over the last two weeks I have sat in silence and watched as people tried to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation and my legacy. Disgusting allegations have been brought against me by individuals looking for a quick payday (…) Let me be absolutely clear: I have not committed any of the horrible things alleged. I will fight for my name, my family and. for the truth.
Lil Rod also alleged that Diddy groped him in another lawsuit. Diddy’s lawyer said TMZ: “Lil Rod is nothing more than a liar who filed a shameless $30 million lawsuit seeking an undeserved payday. His reckless naming of events that are pure fiction and not “just didn’t happen is nothing more than a transparent attempt to grab headlines.”
The Mirror would not normally identify victims of alleged sexual assault, but Cassie, Dickerson-Neal and Lil Rod have spoken out publicly. The Mirror has contacted Diddy for comment.
