Brooke Shields opens for her traumatic experience with a plastic surgeon, who performed a familiar process without requesting her consent.

To a new We weekly Cover Story, Shields, 59, shared that the incident began when she visited her gynecologist, who asked if she had experienced discomfort with her lips. When she admitted that she would last for “bleeding and chafing” for years, the “wonderful” doctor told her that a surgical reduction was possible.
“Of course, it is not covered by insurance because it is considered a cosmetic, which is very interesting,” Shields was observed.
According to her gynecologist’s recommendation, Shields went through the process-but only really understood what had happened when she followed the male surgeon for a post-operative check.
“He informed me that he threw a small bonus,” Shields said, revealing that in addition to the reduction, the surgeon had also rejuvenated, also known as vaginal tightening.

Shields claims that she did not want, or even feel that she needed the “irreversible” process. “Nothing showed that it is tighter or smaller or smaller or more stable or younger, especially there,” Shields said, noting that both she and her gynecologist were outraged.
Then, she found herself fighting the feelings of “shame” and “anger” and avoided discussing the situation – even with her husband, Chris Henchy.
Shields is further depressing the incident in its upcoming memoirs, reminding her of her “terrified” reaction to the doctor, who acted as if she had made her a “favor” but adding that she decided not to do it because “I didn’t want to talk about them about them pieces of my lady once again on the first page of each paper.
As for the results of surgery, Shields writes that “it certainly noticed a difference in my body, not good”.
Before finding history, Shields offers an apology for its readers. In this, he warns those who could consider the anecdote “too graphic”, but explains that he thought it was necessary to discuss.
“I would lie if I said I’m not embarrassed to share this very close information,” Shields writes in the book. “But if we want to change the way we approach and talk about women’s health, then we have to highlight the unpleasant but very real issues. Shame is no longer an option.”
