A woman was left with a crooked mouth for nine months after a plastic surgery accident in central China.
The devastated 25-year-old patient, surnamed Guo, paid 35,000 (£3,960) for jaw reshaping surgery at the Wuhan Huamei Plastic Surgery Hospital at the end of March last year. Four days after the operation, she was shocked to wake up with a pair of deformed lips.
Doctors at the hospital insisted the condition was the result of nerve damage caused by a complication in the procedure, according to Chinese reports.
