This 17th-floor apartment at the Apogee South Beach tower fetches a cool $48 million, a price that puts it in the upper echelon of city real estatealthough south of billionaire hedge fund Ken Griffin’s record $106.87 million Purchase of Coconut Grove.
The sellers of this home are real estate developer and art collector Steven Guttman and his wife Kathy, who were also among the first buyers of the Miami Beach building, developed by Related Group of Florida, designed by Sieger-Suarez and completed. In 2008.
Devin Kay by Douglas Elliman holds the listwhich is located on the edge of the upscale South of Fifth neighborhood, separated by a canal from tony Fisher Island.
“This is arguably the most important apartment ever put up for sale at Apogee South Beach,” Kay told the Post. “My clients spent nearly two years combining two units and creating a 7,300 square foot masterpiece, making it the second largest residence in the entire building.”
The lavish home now occupies half of the 17th floor and offers breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean and the downtown Miami skyline.
Additionally, the residence features 3,500 square feet of wraparound terrace, a private elevator that opens to the lobby, and five bedrooms, all with attached bathrooms.
There is also a laundry room with built-in storage, an art gallery with exposed concrete walls and a kitchen equipped with a butler’s pantry.
For technical specifications, there is a fully integrated Crestron home automation system with Lutron lighting controls and electronic window treatments – and, for practicality, a designated two-car space in the building’s lock-up garage.
To reduce noise transmission, double slabs were constructed between the building’s 22 floors, according to the Apogee website.
Additionally, all residents of the 67-unit building have access to a fitness center, spa, infinity pool and “outdoor party pavilion” for hosting events.
