EDITION RESIDENCES, Miami Edgewater
Formula 1 champion Charles Leclerc will live the high life in Miami.
The 26-year-old phenom purchases a waterfront home at Edition Residences in Miami’s Edgewater neighborhood, a personal milestone that Leclerc announced on Instagram to his 15 million followers.
“Miami, I already feel at home…I can’t wait,” he posted in a photo slideshow that received 1.37 million likes.
However, the price he pays for the residence is not disclosed. Homes in the 55-story glass tower start at $2 million.
Leclerc, for his part, is purchasing one of the tower’s “signature” sky residences, which spans the 41st to 54th floors and starts at $3.1 million. Their surface area varies from 2,315 square feet to 2,709 square feet. Smaller signature units have two bedrooms, 2½ bathrooms and a living room. The others have three bedrooms and 3½ bathrooms.
The tower, located at 2121 North Bayshore Dr., will be 649 feet tall and have 800 feet of frontage on Biscayne Bay. Designed by architect Bernardo Fort-Brescia with interiors by Alessandro Munge, it should be ready for move-in by 2027.
Leclerc can appreciate the fact that the development includes a “state-of-the-art racing simulator” as part of its expansive 45,000 square foot indoor/outdoor amenity space.
Miami has many Formula 1 fans. The magical city I have just finished his third F1 Grand Prix in Miami on a $40 million custom track financed by real estate mogul and Miami Dolphins owner Stephen Ross in 2022. Leclerc came third on Sunday after first-place Lando Norris and Max Verstappen Secondly.
“A little blue and 2 trophies to take home. Miami, thank you”, Leclerc too posted on Instagramunder a photo of him holding one of the trophies high.
This Edition property is the first independent collection of luxury condominium residences from the global hotel brand.
Amenities in the 185 units include an indoor/outdoor poolside garden room with a wet bar, a pool lined with cabanas, a cinema and golf simulators. There’s also a gym with private workout studios and areas for yoga and spinning. Residents will also benefit from fine dining on site as well as a library lounge and six suites.
Hans Baumgartner of Miami Real Investment replaced Leclerc. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing handles sales.
