HGTV star Christina Hall has revealed that she has had a lingering infection in her teeth for several years and urged her fans to make sure their health checks are up to date.
“Just a quick PSA I think is important to share,” Christina wrote on Instagram Stories, revealing that she had emergency root canal surgery when she was 16.
“In 2020 my dentist saw via x-ray that the previous root canal showed signs of infection. So I went and had it redone,” she continued, adding: “Fast forward to last week. The infection came back… so I had an infection that I had zero symptoms for years and years!”
Christina described the news as “quite worrying” and revealed she would have the transplant next week.
“But leaving an infection for a long time can cause all kinds of health complications. Without a root you can’t feel there’s a problem. Of course because our phones listen to us, I read about all kinds of problems with old root canals. If you had never one, go check yours ASAP,” he concluded.
A root canal is a dental procedure to “remove inflamed or infected pulp inside the tooth, which is then carefully cleaned and disinfected, then filled and sealed,” according to the American Association of Endodontists. An implant is the removal of the dental implant.
It is not the first time that the mother of three children talks about her health problems. In 2023, Christina revealed that she had been diagnosed with mercury and lead poisoning and had undergone a series of tests.
“I was on a mission to figure out what was going on and did an expensive and extremely extensive panel and got all my results back,” he said in a video posted to Instagram Stories.
The Christina on the coastt star — who has children Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 8, with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa and son Hudson, four, with ex-wife Ant Anstead — explained that her most recent test checked for “100 different types molds. metals and bacteria’.
“The scan said I have mercury and lead poisoning,” she wrote, adding: “Most likely from all the grosses I’ve been on (the bad flips) and I have small intestinal bacterial overgrowth.”
In late 2023, when a fan asked her how she was doing, months after the diagnosis, Christina replied, “I feel great! I’m doing a lot to take care of myself and manage the autoimmune. So, I’m not exactly sure what’s working. .. but I think it’s the Stem Cell Iv I had 4 months ago!”.
IV stem cell therapy is a form of treatment that uses a patient’s own stem cells to repair injuries and damaged tissue.
Christina also has Hashimoto’s thyroid disease and PCOS (polycystic ovary syndrome).
